Blackwell Stout
Roasty aromas of coffee and caramel with a bitter, chocolate finish.
Stout made with wild yeast, classically British brewed with roasted barley and other various caramel, chocolate and roasted malts. Unlike traditional Blackwell beers, the stout is made with a different wild yeast, leaving a residual sweetness in the beer.
AROMA & FLAVOR
Notes of coffee and chocolate on the finish. Rounded off by a toasty aftertaste.
RAW MATERIALS
Organic quality Pale Ale malt is used as the base malt. The malt body is accented with two types of caramel malt and roasted barley. The roasted barley provides the pronounced bitterness in the finish. For the hop bitterness only hop varieties from Europe are used.
PRODUCTION
The stout is made with a wild yeast and slightly colder fermentation temperatures. This results in fewer yeast aromas and a nicely pronounced maltiness.
